Cartridge seals are designed for rapid installation on and removal from pump shafts. The cartridge seal is an arrangement of seal components on a shaft sleeve and in a seal gland constituting a single unit that is usually assembled and pre-set at the factory. Both bellows and spring-type seals can be cartridge-arranged if the pump stuffing box is large enough.
Cartridge seal units offer major maintenance advantages. Replacement is rapid and there is far less risk of assembly error and assembly damage than with conventional mechanical seal mounting.

Flex Seal has been dealing for years with the recondition of mechanical seals produced by us and by other manufacturers. The reconditioning is the process by which the condition configurations of a seal, at the time of construction, are taken back in the worn out seal.
We can recondition cartridge mechanical seals for pumps, air and gas compressors, turbines, and agitators.
Through this process,customers are able to reduce costs and downtime of the mechanical seals especially on products that are produced for specific applications and that require a long waiting time from the manufacturers.
Each seal that comes in our workshop is carefully studied and analyzed. It is then disassembled in each components. If a component is not repairable an opportunity to rebuild it is discussed with the customer. At the end of the recondition process there is a final pressure test on the seal.
We provide services mainly to oleo-chemical, soap, and edible oil factories. Moreover, we do provide services to Theme park with water facilities, condominium, hypermarkets and swimming pools as well.
After dismantling the pump from the site, the following steps will be carried out at Flex Seal workshop
1. Check the physical condition of the system to ensure it is secure and undamaged.
2. Specifically examine the condition of the pump including its impeller, seals, bearings, valves and volute.
3. Assess the condition of pipework for wear or damage.
4. Ensure sump and floats are clean.
5. Check electrical components to ensure insulation is intact, fuses are in good condition.
6. Finally, check that all safeguards are operating correctly and that alarm beacons and buzzers are functional.
