  • This spectrum of Crystal & Impact Polystyrene includes grades that offer various combinations of toughness, rigidity, heat distortion temperature and flow behavior.
  • Should be stored in dry, well-ventilated place at temperature below 23°c to prevent loss of blowing agent.

  • Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) resin is a polyester-based thermoplastic resin. It is commonly used in compounding, optical fiber loose tubes, monofilament and synthetic fiber sectors. PBT is often made into sportswear and swimwear because of its natural stretch and chlorine resistance.
    Furthermore, PBT compounded resin is widely used in connectors and other automobile parts, bobbins, coil cases and other electronic and electrical components and precision parts for office equipment, and recently have also been finding applications as chopsticks and tableware.

Silicone fluids are generally colorless transparent liquids. They exhibit excellent resistance to heat, cold, and moisture. There is also little viscosity change in silicone fluids over a wide temperature range, and they have outstanding electrical properties. In addition, they are notable for their characteristics of mold-releasability, water repellency, lubricity, and defoaming properties.

Heat resistance
Silicone fluids have outstanding stability against thermal oxidation.

Cold resistance
Silicone fluids withstand low temperatures well. Methylphenyl silicone fluid, formulated for low temperature applications, maintains flowability even at -65°C.

Viscosity stability
There is little change in viscosity over a wide temperature range.

Chemical stability
Silicone fluids are almost totally chemically inactive. At room temperature, they show almost no effects from alkali solutions (up to 10%) or acidic solutions (up to 30%).

Non-corrosive and little effect on other materials
Silicone fluids have almost no adverse effects on metals and many other materials.

Low surface tension
Silicone fluids have much lower surface tension than water and other common synthetic oils.

Silicone defoaming agents are available in oil, solution, powder, and emulsion types. They all have a high defoaming effect when added in small amounts to all types of foaming liquids.

Due to their lower surface tension, silicone defoaming agents have greater defoaming action than organic defoaming agents.

Silicone defoaming agents are highly safe, especially those for food applications, which meet the standards for food additives laid out in Japan’s Food Sanitation Law.

Heat resistance and chemical resistance
Silicone defoaming agents have good resistance to heat and chemicals, so they are effective with all types of foams and can be used in conditions in which organic defoaming agents cannot.

Foam-inhibiting effect
Silicone defoaming agents have longer-lasting effects than other defoaming agents, and are also effective in preventing foaming from occurring.

The Shin-Etsu mold making/tooling materials are well known for their clarity, flexibility, natural release, and low shrinkage. Two-component RTV silicone rubber compounds for moldmaking are suitable for mold masters for molding with polyester resin, epoxy resin, urethane foam, wax, plaster, and low-melt-point metal alloys. These RTV silicone rubber compounds allow accurate reproduction of the shape of the original. They are easy to use and are thus used widely in industrial applications, as well as by hobbyists looking to create the perfect replica.
