Stream Tech Engineering & Trading was registered on 1st May 2002 in Malaysia. It has a humble beginning serving customers in and around the Klang Valley, Malaysia.

On 23-September-2014, we incorporated Streamtec Industrial Sdn Bhd (1110303-T).

Its core business then was as an electrical engineering company serving in the area of repairing control panels & the design, construction and installation of new panels. These panels are for various processes and operations such as for booster pump system, chiller & cooling tower systems, sewerage pumping system, blower operations, waste water treatment plants, domestic and production circulation and various pumping control panels.

Streamtec Industrial Sdn Bhd (& Stream Tech Engineering & Trading)’s founder and prime mover, Mr. Aaron Raj, had previously worked in various manufacturing companies. His vast experience includes that of palm oil mills, a glove manufacturing factory, an electroplating plant, an injection molding factory, in the automotive components painting arena as well as in the vacuum metalizing process.

These experiences and background include interacting and working with various levels of people, from Italian & French engineers to the Japanese teams. Good working relationships were established. Much was also gained from the numerous short-term and long-term training stints all over the world. Expertise was gathered in the area of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Servo-drive systems, Pumps, Hydraulics, Automation, etc.

Rising from his first position as an electrician in a Palm Oil Mill and achieving managerial positions later in his career, Mr. Aaron Raj gathered much skill-sets in working with teams from the maintenance department, engineering, plant upgrade project teams, and with clients who require various modifications/adaptations and re-engineering as well a in new installations across various industries. He has also taken leadership roles in implementing ISO 14001 quality standards, worked as a safety and health officer, trained in concepts of Japanese improvement methodologies such as “Kaizen”, and good work ethics/culture such as the “5 s”. There is at all times an in-grained attitude and outlook towards improvements in plant operations and efficiencies – in whatever pragmatic, creative and cost-balanced ways.

With well over 18 years of working experience, Mr. Aaron Raj is able to blend his technical excellence with a keen appreciation and understanding of our clients’ business environment. 

Today, Streamtec Industrial Sdn Bhd’s core expertise is in Mechanical & Electrical works, specializing in various repair & maintenance of various types of pump, gearboxes; in compressed air piping, chilled water piping and in electrical works.

Electrical Control Panels – Power Mixer
Stream Tech re-designed, constructed and replace the electrical panel for a powder mixer at a pharmaceutical factory.

Electric Motor servicing
Stream Tech also services, repair and re-conditions electric motors of various types. This photo case study shows an electric motor at a bulking terminal being serviced, repaired and brought back into full operating condition.

Welding & Fabrication, Piping & Fittings
Photographs show the Stream Tech team at work on-site providing general mechanical works (welding and fabrication, piping and fittings). We are also able to do general mechanical works for assembly lines.

Loop Pump Service and Repair

The photo case-study below shows Stream Tech expertise in the service and repair of a highly specialised pump. This pump is mounted on a tanker (tanker pump) and is used for the unloading of tanker fluid, in this instance it was caustic soda. Our client is from the food processing industry.

Self priming centrifugal pump servicing
Client had the following problems with the pump: Flow rate has dropped to a very unacceptable level and pump casing was leaking.

Stream Tech Solution: We were able to restore the total pump unit back to its required flow rate.
Client did not have to replace the whole pump at very high cost.

Complete overhaul of Washington Pump
​Client informed us of problems related to their pump, including that of low flow rate, high vibration during operations and there as frequent bearing failures.

We were able to dismantle the whole pump unit in order to service every aspect of the pump contruction. These included a re-balancing, the restoration of the worn-out shalf, bearing replacements and using new packing seals. Finally, the pump screw (for both the male and female units) were also re-balanced.

The fully serviced Washington pump is now able to function again at its operational capacity to the satisfaction of our client.

Maintenance & Repair of Split Pump
Photo case study of servicing a split pump. We were able to repair and rebuild the pump to operational specifications as required by our client. This not only resulted in major cost-savings but it also meant that there were no need for new capital outlays to purchase a new pump.

Supply and Commissioning of American Turbine Pump
 Stream Tech was tasked by client to take delivery, install and commission this American Turbine Pump for a steel mill. We were able to take up the technical challenge of ensuring that the pump was installed according to the guidelines & recommendations of the manufacturer – ATP.
